Welcome to SI Counseling! Take a moment to pause and reflect on your goals as you explore this page and consider what you want to achieve on your therapeutic journey.
SI Counseling was founded with the understanding that you often carry the weight of your thoughts, emotions, and daily experiences without taking time to pause and reflect. You may also do so much for others without having time for yourself. You then experience feelings of guilt for wanting and needing that time. Addressing these feelings is key to being present and restoring balance in your life.
At SI Counseling, your unique story and experiences are valued. Together, we will explore your journey to find peace and healing. In this safe space, I will support and guide you, helping you release the weight of your emotions and find the balance, empowerment, and peace you deserve.
WORKING TOGETHER - THEORETICAL APPROACH
Are you overwhelmed by saying yes when you want to say no? Do you end each day with a to-do list that does not prioritize you? If you’re afraid of letting others down or losing important relationships by setting boundaries, you’re not alone and it does not have to be this way.
I help women navigate the challenges of balancing work, family, and personal expectations while protecting their well-being. Together, we will establish healthier boundaries so you can reclaim your time, energy, and sense of self. Saying no is not selfish, and asking for help is not weak.
In our work together, you will learn to set clear boundaries, say no without guilt ask for help without feeling burdensome, and feel empowered to take up space in your life. Clients often leave feeling lighter, empowered, and more confident in prioritizing their well-being while maintaining meaningful connections.
As a culturally competent clinician, I use a personalized, eclectic approach to therapy, recognizing that each person's (or couple's)story is unique. I collaborate with you to build a strong, trusting relationship, which is key to effective therapy. My approach is tailored to meet your specific needs, supporting you every step of the way on your journey toward healing and growth.
I use a variety of effective therapy approaches tailored to your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, person-centered therapy to focus on your strengths, and mindfulness techniques to promote relaxation and peace. I also incorporate multicultural therapy and narrative therapy to honor your unique experiences. For couples, I apply techniques from the Gottman Method and Relational Life Therapy to improve communication and strengthen intimacy. These approaches are designed to support your personal growth and help you build healthier relationships.

My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered, providing the foundation for healing and growth to take place.
When I am not traveling journeys with my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, sons, and our families and friends, visiting museums, reading, and listening to good throwbacks!
